   About Sustainable Life Counselling

    Helen Murdoch is the developer of Sustainable Life Counselling. Helen is a Level 2 Counsellor, registered with The Australian Counselling Association and the Queensland Guidance and Counselling Association. She is also an experienced Secondary School Teacher registered with the Queensland College of Teachers. Helen completed the course work in the Masters of Guidance and Counselling in 2017 and holds a Bachelor of Education and Bachelor of Arts. In 2017 Helen also became an accredited youth mental health first aider and is qualified to assist young adults experiencing mental health crises and can put you in touch wih appropriate help.

    Helen has been a successful small business owner for the past eleven years. Her experiences with running a small business, teaching adolescents and adults and guiding employees has given her insight into a variety of personalities and the challenges they face across the lifespan. Helen provides a confidential, non-judgemental counselling service that can assist you improve your mental health and wellbeing. Helen is passionate about collaborating with and supporting individuals who seek help with mental health and wellbeing in all aspects of their life. Areas of focus that Helen is qualified to counsel include, mental health and wellbeing, trauma, careers advice and counselling, business management, grief and loss and general anxiety across the lifespan. Helen has experience with evidence-based therapies such as, person-centred therapy, cognitive behaviour therapy, mindfulness therapy, positive psychology, gestalt therapy and solution focused therapy. The best type of therapy will depend on the initial consultation.

    To decide on an appropriate course of action, email or call Helen for a confidential conversation about your requirements. After this contact has been made she will collaborate with you to discuss the best course of action. She may simply put you in contact with an organisation or individual that can assist with your situation, or begin to set up some times to undergo some counselling sessions with her.
